Mr Sami Stagnell graduated from Kings College London Dental Institute in 2009. After his undergraduate degree he worked as an SHO and a Staff Grade in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and maintained posts as a visiting Postgraduate Advisor (Consultancy) and Honorary Clinical Teacher at Kings College Hospital.
After completing his speciality training Sami joined the Specialist Register for Oral Surgery and has completed training in hypnosis, CBT and sedation to help treat nervous and phobic patients.
He holds Memberships with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and England and Faculty of General Dentistry. He was awarded a merit in his MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry with Kings College London in 2015 and has completed an MSc with the University of Manchester in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine. He is an active member of many societies and represents the profession with both Young Dentists and Central Hospitals Committee with the BDA.
Following specialty training he was awarded one of the first UK posts as a Fellow in Clinical Leadership and Management with Health Education England, working with supporting national healthcare projects. Sami was also one of the first clinicians in the UK to hold the post of NHS Clinical Entrepreneur.
Whilst practicing on the South Coast, Sami co-founded SmileKind Ltd a Specialist Oral Surgery & Implant Clinic in Bournemouth. He also holds the post of Clinical Lead for Oral Surgery Ltd who hold NHS Oral Surgery contracts in the London & Wessex region.
In 2018 Sami was awarded a prestigious ITI scholarship and has been working with the Medical University of Graz in Austria gaining international experience in implantology.
